Bot Hunt

Privacy, plainly.

Bot Hunt uses the information needed to run its directory, community, and email subscription.

Your account

When you sign in with Google or X, we store the provider’s account identifier, your display name, and your profile image. We use an HttpOnly session cookie to keep you signed in. We don’t ask for an email password, and provider access tokens are not retained after sign-in.

Community activity

Your comments and display profile are visible alongside a Bot Hunt source label. Votes are linked to your account so you can change or remove a vote. Reports are reviewed privately.

Email subscriptions

If you subscribe, we store your email and confirmation status. A confirmation email is required before the subscription is active. Every weekly email includes an unsubscribe link. Emails are delivered through our configured third-party email service.

Operational data

We count official-link clicks and keep content-management logs. Temporary request limits use hashed network identifiers to reduce spam. We do not sell personal data or use advertising trackers.

External services

Official bot links open Grok. Imported feedback links open their source platform, which has its own privacy rules. Bot Hunt hosts the directory and reviews; it does not host or execute the listed bots.
